Thailand: The Top Rehab Destination For International Tourists

by Glasgow Report
in Press Release

Thailand has long made a name for Medical tourism as a go-to destination for people seeking quality and affordable medical treatment services. According to the Bangkok Post, the number of foreign patients coming to Thailand for treatment has increased by 20% in the past year. This is thanks in part to the Thai government’s efforts to promote the country as a medical tourism destination. With its world-class facilities and experienced medical staff, Thailand is quickly becoming a leading player in the global medical industry. However, not many people know about another type of medical tourism which is “Rehab Tourism.” Thailand has been recognised for rehab tourism for a decade, and is renowned for effective treatment for addiction and mental health issues. People from all across the world, especially from countries like the USA, UK, and Australia come to Thailand for the new hope of finding the perfect destination to heal their mind and body from addiction and live a better life.

Thailand offers world-class facilities, effective treatment and international professionals at a fraction of the cost of other western countries like the USA, UK, and Australia. In addition, the weather in Thailand is perfect for those who want to get away from the cold winters back home. Finally, Thailand’s welcoming and warm disposition of its culture and people makes it the perfect place to heal both body and mind.

The current state of Thailand’s rehab industry is one of growth and expansion. The number of facilities and services available to those seeking treatment for addiction and other mental health issues has increased significantly in recent years, and the quality of care has also improved. 10 years ago there were just two or three addiction treatment centres in Thailand catering to foreigners, currently there are over 20. All high-quality rehab costs in Thailand range from $12,000 USD to $16,000 per month.

Thailand is now home to a number of world-class rehab centers that offer a wide range of treatments and therapies, all designed to help clients recover from their addiction and get back on track with their lives. These centers provide comprehensive care that includes detoxification, counseling, and aftercare services. Thailand is well-positioned to continue its role as a leading provider of addiction treatment.

The Dawn Wellness Centre and Rehab Thailand is the only international drug and alcohol rehab in Thailand and in Asia to receive international accreditation from the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI), under their Psychiatric and Behavioural Health Services category. Also The Dawn is the only center that offers distinct treatment programmes for addiction and mental health disorders.

Located in Chiang Mai, the cultural heartland of Northern Thailand, The Dawn’s riverside residential facilities offer a peaceful sanctuary that is created to foster an environment of personal growth and healing for people who want to change their lives and overcome addiction or mental health issues. The Dawn Rehab is centred on a Twin Pillar method, a proven, life-changing programme, which equally focuses on rehabilitation and wellness therapy at the affordable cost.
