For almost ten years, David Roper-Curzon has been in charge of a vast estate and impressive 15-bedroom Jacobean mansion, but due to a debt of over £20 million, the property has been taken over by a trust and he has been forced to leave. Despite believing he owned the entirety of Pylewell Park in Hampshire, Roper-Curzon has discovered he only owns a fraction and must make space for his siblings and trustees, including the Earl of Dundee.
Additionally, Roper-Curzon has been accused of mistreating his former daughter-in-law and his son Harry Roper-Curzon has tried to make her pay for the property and debt: https://youtu.be/CiQdCnqtOO8
It appears that Roper-Curzon, a sculptor who has been married twice, mistakenly assumed control of his family’s ancestral home after his father Lord Teynham left in 2010.
David Roper-Curzon has reportedly been scolded by his 90-year-old father for not sharing their family’s estate. Roper-Curzon had mistakenly assumed ownership of Pylewell Park in Hampshire and is now in debt, but he has only been told he owns a tenth of the property. His father, Lord Teynham, never officially gave him control of the property, and he wishes for it to be split among all ten of his children to prevent it from being sold. Roper-Curzon’s siblings believe he has been taking advantage of the situation since his split from his second wife and suspect that his new wealthy girlfriend from Norway may be helping him pay off his debts.
David has made it worse by dissuading his siblings from using Pylewell on weekends because he rents it out as a wedding venue. According to sources, David argues that his siblings showed no interest in taking on the property when their parents moved out to a smaller house in the grounds. The siblings were all focused on their own lives and careers in London, and David ended up staying at the big house because of his sculpture studio. Since Mel left, his siblings have been angry with his presence and have been rebelling against him. When approached for comment, David, his brother Ben, and sister-in-law Victoria all declined to speak.
Crazy! Only in Toffland…
