176 energy-efficient houses to be built in West Lothian

by Glasgow Report
in Real Estate

A NEW development in Winchburgh, 12 miles from Edinburgh will see 176 mixed-tenure, energy-efficient houses built.

Lovell Homes has been awarded the project, currently having three similar projects underway in Glow Garren in Hamilton, The Crossings in South Queensferry, and Oakwood Edge in Mayfield.

With energy efficiency at the core of the Lovell development, the homes are slated to be built to a standard that will reduce the resident’s carbon footprint and lower energy costs.

The Central Square location will offer a mix of three and four-bedroom homes for growing families as well as 2.5-storey residences with loft-style principal suites and 4-storey townhouses.

A total of 107 of the 176 homes will be available for private sale and the other 69 homes will be available for social rent.

Tony Rankin, regional managing director for Lovell in Scotland, said: “Winchburgh is one of the most significant and most exciting place-making projects in the UK right now, and we are very proud to have such a central location in this exciting new community.

“Lovell is committed to modern design, energy efficiency, and quality, and we are looking forward to unveiling a brand new range of homes at Winchburgh.”

The Central Square location is opposite a new Sainsbury’s superstore and within walking distance to the marina and award-winning Auldcathie Park, as well as a new school, wellbeing center, leisure campus, and new public parks.

Winchburgh offers excellent transport links, including the recently opened M9 link road, providing easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
