in Business

A NEW director has been appointed at Henderson Loggie as the firm looks to expand its tax advisory services.

Stephen Dodds has been appointed as a tax director for the company as it looks to increase its presence in the central belt.

Stephen graduated in law from Glasgow University and has worked in tax advisory for over 20 years, building up experience in previous firms.

He is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser.

Kimberley Thomson, head of tax at Henderson Loggie, said: “I’m delighted to welcome such exceptional talent to the firm.

“With extensive experience in advising owner-managed businesses at all stages of their lifecycle, Stephen was a stand-out candidate and brings a wealth of expertise in areas such as tax-efficient structuring and incentivising management teams.

“His deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing these businesses in the current regulatory landscape makes him an excellent addition to our team.”

The firm’s growth has exceeded 150% in the last four years, and it hopes that Stephen can play a “crucial role” in helping it become even stronger.

Stephen said: “I was attracted to Henderson Loggie as a firm with both heritage and a modern outlook.

“Its vision and values are very well aligned with mine. I’m thrilled to be joining such a successful tax team and to be part of the plans for growth.

“I’m especially looking forward to working closely with owner-managed businesses that are so important to the communities we live and work in across Scotland.”
