Edinburgh-based Omilan Productions Ltd is gearing up to produce Between Us, a UK-set psychological thriller scheduled to begin principal photography in February 2026.
The feature will be directed by Oluyinka Omilani and produced by Wale Muraina, and will shoot on location in the UK.
Between Us centres on a Nigerian doctor and his British wife whose attempt to repair their marriage during a retreat to a remote English countryside mansion descends into a psychological and physical ordeal when a sadistic intruder begins manipulating their cultural differences and personal secrets.
The film stars Olarotimi Fakunle (Nigeria) opposite Gemma Dawson (UK), with Ian Bjorn (UK) also in a leading role. The supporting cast will be drawn from across the UK.
Blending intimate marital drama with escalating suspense, Between Us explores themes of identity, power, and cultural tension within a contemporary British setting. The project positions itself as a contained, character-driven thriller with international appeal.
Director Omilani said the film “uses the mechanics of a psychological thriller to explore how unresolved emotional and cultural conflicts can be exploited under extreme pressure.”
Between Us continues Omilan Productions Ltd’s focus on internationally resonant stories rooted in the UK filmmaking landscape.
