Hibs will be without several players for Sunday’s highly anticipated Edinburgh derby.
But there is some positive news for the fans ahead of the SPFL run in.
Hibs host Hearts at Easter Road seeking to bounce back from their recent defeat to Aberdeen, in what is the club’s first post-split fixture.
Speaking to Hibs TV, Gray provided a positive team news update ahead of the fixture.
Midfielder Josh Mulligan has returned to training at HTC but won’t be available for selection this weekend.
“The positive news is Josh Mulligan’s back with the group,” said Gray.
“He’s trained this week, just part training, so won’t be available for this weekend, but it’s great to see him back in training with the boys at the right stage of the season and, at the same time, as I’ve said, the business end, so it makes the squad a lot healthier going towards the end of it.”
Elsewhere, Hibs will be without centre-back Grant Hanley following his red card in the defeat to Aberdeen, and Munashe Garananga is making a step in the right direction in his recovery from injury.
He added: “Grant Hanley will miss this one through suspension, so he misses a couple of games after his red card.
“[Munashe] Garananga is not fit either, but moving in the right direction, which is good. Initially, we thought we might have lost him for the season, but that’s looking a much more positive situation just now, but he’s not back on the grass.
“Rudi [Molotnikov] is out for the season, so he’s not going to be back.”
