LONDON — Crime + Investigation UK will bring back its true crime series I Met My Murderer Online for a second season, returning in April 2026.
Produced by Woodcut Media and executive produced by Mitchell Loo, the series explores cases where online interactions escalate into real-world violence, blending dramatized reconstructions with expert analysis. Dramatized segments are filmed in Los Angeles.

The first season focused on cases where digital communication contributed to violent outcomes, pairing reconstructions with commentary aimed at identifying behavioral warning signs.
A Case Shaped by Online Harassment
Season 2 opens with a case centered on the 2023 killings of Zohreh Sadeghi and Mohammed Milad Naseri, an Iranian couple living in Redmond, Washington. The case drew widespread attention due to a documented pattern of stalking that preceded the attack.
According to local reports, the suspect—based in Texas—initially contacted Sadeghi through a Farsi-language social audio platform. The communication escalated into sustained harassment, including repeated calls, messages, and alleged threats over several months.
Sadeghi and Naseri sought assistance from law enforcement and obtained a protection order, which had not been served at the time of the incident. Authorities said the suspect later traveled to the couple’s residence, where he fatally shot both individuals before taking his own life.
The case has since been cited in broader discussions surrounding the challenges of addressing stalking behavior that originates online, particularly across state lines.
Reconstructing Real Events
As in the first season, the series reconstructs events through dramatized sequences alongside expert commentary examining patterns of escalation and potential intervention points.
The season premiere features a dramatized cast portraying those involved, including Bar Daniel as Zohreh Sadeghi, Patrick J. Thomas as the suspect, and Iranian-American actor Eliott Nazarian as Mohammed Milad Naseri.
Season 2 of I Met My Murderer Online premieres April 13 at 2pm on Crime + Investigation UK (Sky 837), with episodes rolling out across spring 2026.
