New partner at city accountancy firm

by Glasgow Report
in Business

Accountancy and business advisory firm, Saffery, has promoted Harry Kendall to partner, with effect from 1 April 2026.

Harry joined the firm from the London office where he trained, and has been Edinburgh-based for the past five years. An audit-specialist, he advises a broad range of clients across corporate, landed estates and the not?for?profits sectors. He works closely with boards and senior management teams, providing support on governance and financial reporting.

Sean McGinness, Partner and Head of Saffery’s Edinburgh office, said: “Harry’s mix of sector experience fits very well with our client base. It reflects the direction of travel for our business as we continue to focus on our strong private wealth client base and build on recent success in the corporate market. He is a trusted adviser to boards and management teams alike, and a highly respected member of the team. His appointment strengthens our partner group in Edinburgh and underlines the depth of talent across our 80?strong team.”

Harry added: “We’ve built a collaborative, high-performing team with deep sector expertise here in Edinburgh, and I’m proud to be part of an office that combines national strength with strong local relationships. I look forward to continuing to support our clients as they navigate increasingly complex audit and governance requirements.”

Harry’s promotion follows the appointment of 15 new team members in Edinburgh in 2025 and demonstrates Saffery’s continued commitment to investing strategically in talent locally and across the UK.

Saffery has been part of Scotland’s professional landscape for more than 40 years, with offices in Edinburgh and Inverness, and a national network across the UK and Ireland. Its Scotland?based teams provide a full-service offering and bring expertise to owner?managed businesses, with a focus on hospitality, real estate, professional services and international businesses, private clients and family trusts, agricultural and rural enterprises, and the not-for-profit sector.
