COACH provider Flixbus has launched a new bus service between Glasgow and Edinburgh that will run every half an hour.
The multi-stop service will go through Princes Street, past Edinburgh Zoo and end at Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station.
The route is set to launch on Monday 7 July, and will connect places such as Livingston and Ratho to Glasgow City Centre and Edinburgh’s West End.
Right now, the Megabus 900 runs from Glasgow to Edinburgh up to every 15 minutes.

FlixBus has announced its new route from Glasgow to Edinburgh, which will launch early next month.
The service will run every 30-35 minutes during the day, departing from Edinburgh Bus Station and Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station.
The stops on the route are as follows; Glasgow’s Buchanan Bus Station, Newhouse, Harthill Services, Livingston Deer Park, Ratho Station, Ingliston Park and Ride, Corstorphine Drum Brae, Edinburgh Zoo, Haymarket Station, Edinburgh Princes Street, and Edinburgh Bus Station.
Residents of Ratho have recently been campaigning for a new bus route that would service the Lost Shore Surf Resort and the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, though this is still yet to be delivered.
From Ingliston Park and Ride it is also possible to get to Edinburgh Airport by tram or foot.
Tickets start at just £3.49 and are free for Young Scots under 22, over 60s with bus passes, and anyone with a valid National Entitlement Card.
The buses provide free Wi-Fi, power sockets, and guaranteed seating with the FlixBus network spanning most of the country.
Andreas Schorling, Senior Managing Director of FlixBus UK, said: “The launch of this route marks the next phase of our growth journey in Scotland, providing a service tailored to the needs of local people, offering a fantastic customer experience through our constant focus on passengers.
“Adding these destinations will bring convenient, frequent FlixBus journeys to those living outside of city centres, perfect for everyone from commuters to university students and day trips.”
